Welcome to week
thirty-seven! This week’s theme is: Beginnings and Endings
Announcements:
Last Day of School: The last day of
school is this Friday, May 24th.
School will release at 10:00 am. We will spend the day celebrating what we have
learned and the friendships we have made this year. Students will be receiving certificates and
an end of the year present from me! If
you would like to send refreshments for our class on Friday feel free to do so.
All refreshments need to be wheat and gluten free and as sugar free as possible
due to special dietary needs in our class.
Fruit meets both of these requirements and is always popular with our
class!
Summer Activities
Tab: Please check out the new Summer
Activities tab on our blog. I have
listed some fun learning activities that you can complete with your students
over the summer to help them stay prepared for third grade. The page is still a work in progress, I will
be adding more activities over the last week of school.
DIBLES Reading
Testing: Expect DIBLES scores to come home with your student this week.
Take Home Reading Book
Bags: Please return your child’s take home reading bag to school once you have
finished reading their last book. We
need to have all bags returned by the end of the year. I will be sending emails
to those students that still need to return their bags in the coming week.
Library Books: Please ensure that
your students return their library books to school before the end of the year.
Spelling Words: There will be no
spelling this week.
What we will be learning this week:
We will spend the week reviewing what we have learned this year with fun
games and activities. We will also spend
time getting our assignments and other work ready to take home.
